SoftV Ltd aims to explore the opportunity of creating healthcare-related games based on UCL ideas and technologies. SoftV Ltd is developing an educational app ‘SWAN’ (sequencing of words and numbers) that aims to improve recall of alphabet, number and word sequences (e.g. days of the week) by providing the user with the opportunity to practise them in ascending and descending order. The ability to use and talk about these words is essential in everyday life, e.g. numbers are the basis for routine tasks involving times, dates and money. There is considerable evidence that both children and adults with language disorders have significant problems dealing with these ideas and are at risk for mathematical and literacy difficulties.
