UCL welcomes the engagement of senior executives on committees and boards, where their expertise is of particular value.

The board of UCL Research Challenges   has been strengthened by the presence of three senior representatives of industry:

- Reg Hinkley, CEO BP Pensions
- Alain Marcetteau CEO Arup
- Malcolm Cooper, Head of Research City of London

The Research Challenges Board assesses innovative, collaborative UCL research proposals, and provides seed-corn funding to the most promising projects.
