Monika joined UCLB in 2015 as an Associate Business Manager (BioPharm).

Prior to joining UCLB, Monika worked as Innovation Manager at BBSRC where her main responsibilities related to the management of the Enterprise Fellowship scheme.

Monika completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law at Brunel University, London, is a Part Qualified UK Patent Attorney and Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.

Monika pursued all her scientific education in Poland, where she studied Biotechnology at Adam Mickiewicz University and completed a PhD in Medical Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her thesis focused on the biology of childhood T-cell lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL) and attracted a distinction and recognition from the Polish Prime Minister.

Monika is responsible for assisting in the commercial exploitation of IP arising from the Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
