UCLB Spin out Hazy, wins Microsoft Innovate AI competition

Hazy (formerly Anon AI), one of our spin out companies, has won this year’s Microsoft Innovate AI competition. The award highlights start-ups harnessing the power of AI and machine learning on the global stage.

As winners, Hazy receives $1million of investment from M12 (formerly Microsoft Ventures) in partnership with Notion Capital. Innovate AI is a global competition launched and supported by M12.

This $1million funding injection follows the £340,000 pre-seed funding Hazy raised from a round led by the UCL Technology Fund managed by UCL Business (UCLB) and Albion Capital, in January 2018. The combined investments will allow Hazy to enhance its prototype model and build a ‘best in class’ developer tool.
