Clinical trial clears cancer for leukaemia patient

A patient at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, who was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), the most common type of leukaemia, is now free of the disease thanks to an innovative treatment he underwent on a clinical trial.
The patient is one of the first people in the UK to be given this treatment as part of a trial run by a team at UCLH and UCL, in collaboration with UCLB spinout, Autolus Therapeutics.
Autolus is a CAR T cell therapy company developing advanced autologous T cell therapies that have the potential to deliver life-changing benefits to cancer patients.
