IP Manager – Fixed Term

We are seeking to recruit a talented intellectual property (IP) professional to join us as IP Manager to undertake the management of the large and complex intellectual property (IP) portfolio.
The post is a fixed term appointment covering maternity leave starting on 13 September 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and ending on 18 November 2022.
We are looking for someone with a scientific background and experience of managing a large portfolio of patents, trademarks, copyright and other IP rights. You should be able to demonstrate considerable experience of IP management with a strong understanding of formalities and global strategy. A further key attribute would be the ability to conduct patentability and freedom to operate searches. You will play an active role in the management of UCL Business’s considerable asset base, including the management of external service providers.
You will need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to work with staff across the organisation and externally.
UCLB operates flexible working for this role, the IP Manager will be expected to work in the office for a minimum of two days per week with the remainder working from home. UCL Business offers a contributory pension scheme.
