Join us for an exclusive conversation with Dr. Maria Leiloglou, CEO and Co-founder of EnAcuity, an AI medical imaging spinout from UCL and Imperial College London.
In conversation with Dr. Weng Wong, Senior Business Manager at UCL Business, Dr. Leiloglou will share her inspiring journey from PhD to CEO, including how EnAcuity raised £1.28m to further its mission to empower surgeons to enhance patient care with the world’s first AI-driven hyperspectral imaging solution.
Speaker Bio:
Dr. Maria Leiloglou is a MedTech innovator with expertise in developing and clinically translating imaging technology. During her PhD and MSc at Imperial College London, she brought three surgical imaging devices to first-in-human trials.
Dr. Leiloglou is the CEO and co-founder of EnAcuity, a pioneering medtech company developing AI-driven hyperspectral imaging solutions to enhance surgical precision. She also holds honorary research fellow positions at both Imperial College London and UCL. She earned her PhD from Imperial College London, focusing on the development and clinical translation of surgical imaging equipment. Her expertise lies in biomedical optics, biophotonics, and fluorescence imaging.
At EnAcuity, Dr. Leiloglou leads efforts to create the first hardware-free hyperspectral imaging solution for real-time surgical image enhancement. Under her leadership, EnAcuity secured £1.28m in pre-seed funding in December 2024, with investments led by Twin Path Ventures, the London Co-Investment Fund, and Crista Galli Ventures.
