Dr Alan Wright’s role as Senior Business Manager involves developing a broad portfolio of physical science and engineering opportunities, both in terms of sector focus and stage of development.

Alan has over 20 years’ business experience, working with a range of science and technology companies of all sizes, including the successful sale of a VC-backed business to trade. Alan completed a PhD focussed on chemical sensor development (using ML and AI) for autonomous underwater vehicles. This took him on ocean-going expeditions to the Antarctic and the Artic amongst other places. Alan also has an MSc in chemical oceanography, an MBA and a first degree in chemical physics.
