Alejandra Mones is Associate Business Manager in the Physical Sciences and Engineering team. She is responsible for the assessment of market and patentability for technologies arising from UCL academics, as well as being involved in the commercialisation pathway.

Prior to joining UCLB, Alejandra worked at an investment bank in the sales and trading department and was then part of the LifeArc Technology Transfer Fellowship. She holds a BSc in medical sciences and engineering from UCL, and an MRes in medical device design and entrepreneurship from Imperial College London. Her research focused on the development of a lateral flow device for the detection of recurrent ovarian cancer, as well as developing the business plan for the technology.
