Dr. Beata Grzyb holds a PhD in Developmental Robotics, with research at the intersection of robotics, neuroscience, and developmental psychology that earned her three innovation awards.

As an Assistant Professor in AI and Head of the Robotics Lab at Radboud University, Beata launched the Robot Platform Initiative, fostering interdisciplinary research. Her academic background includes research stays at leading robotics labs in Japan.

Transitioning into entrepreneurship, Beata founded a VC-backed startup focused on AI-driven mental health solutions and advised startups in Conversational AI and VR for mental health. With a strong blend of technical expertise in AI and robotics alongside entrepreneurial experience, Beata is dedicated to commercialising UCL’s cutting-edge technologies and driving innovations that deliver real-world impact.
