Nessa Carey PhD is an independent science and innovation specialist, who has provided training and consultancy services nationally and internationally.

Her clients in the UK have included leading universities and institutes, and she has worked extensively overseas especially in China and Singapore. She was a former international director for PraxisAuril, Europe’s largest association for professionals working in technology transfer, and was one of the first 100 people to gain international accreditation as a registered technology transfer professional.

Nessa is a former senior director in External Research and Development Innovation at Pfizer, and has over a decade of experience in the biotech sector.

She has a science PhD from the University of Edinburgh, is a visiting professor at Imperial College London and is a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Oxford.
