Hamish is part of the senior management team and lead the UCLB legal team.

He has a strong commercial and university background, with over 20 years of experience in the life sciences sector. Hamish began his career at Slaughter and May, gaining corporate, IP, and commercial law experience.

He then worked at Oxford and Cambridge, supporting university spinouts and early-stage growth companies. He has worked at BTG Plc as a Senior Legal Adviser; Mundipharma as Principal European Legal Adviser, handling global in-licensing and commercial partnerships; Eli Lilly as General Counsel for Northern Europe; and lastly as Joint Venture Director and Head of Legal, EMEA, at Kyowa Kirin International.
