Dr Lorenzo Schiazza holds a MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, specializing in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. Lorenzo’s dissertation focused on synthesizing novel PPAR-alpha antagonists. His PhD project, completed in 2022, which involved collaboration with Evonik Industries and focusing on small molecule/dye synthesis, polymer characterization, and oral drug delivery formulation. While completing his PhD, he joined Lucideon in Stoke-on-Trent as a Pharmaceutical Scientist, supporting the commercial teams with his technical insights, and assisting in the management of various projects across the company.

In 2022, he became a Healthcare Consultant, focusing more heavily on the technical aspect and project management of complex, multi-part programs. In 2023, Lorenzo joined Nanopharm as a Project Manager, where he has overseen projects in the respiratory drug delivery and drug delivery devices fields.

During his free time, he enjoys going for runs in parks and hiking with his partner. While he is at home, he unwinds by playing board games, reading, or cooking.
