Marina joined UCL Business in 2007 following a successful career in datacomms engineering and product development. As Associate Director of the Physical Sciences and Engineering team, she brings significant experience in the creation of ‘deeptech’ spinout companies, with a specialism in computer science-based inventions. Marina also leads on open-source and closed-source software licensing strategies. In 2010 she designed and developed a platform, E-lucid, to enable online licensing of UCL’s intellectual property. E-lucid is now used by research institutions around the world and was spun out as a commercial business in 2023.
