Associate Director (Physical Sciences & Engineering)

Elucid, Physical sciences & engineering

Marina started her career in the telecoms industry soon after graduating in Physics from Imperial College London. She has always had a strong focus on introducing new technology to expectant markets, initially at BT where she was involved in piloting new data switching technologies and then at MCI-Worldcom (now Verizon Business) where as Director of new Product Development she oversaw the design and implementation of all new data products across Europe. After a brief stint in a software startup, she joined UCLB where she has worked with many academics over the past 15+ years, particularly specialising in the creation of computer science-based spinout companies. Marina has significant experience of software licensing and is also the founder of e-lucid, a platform for the licensing of University IP, now sold as a white-labelled Software as a Service product to universities around the world.
