UCLB is the IP commercialisation company of UCL and its partner NHS Trusts. We bring to market truly world-leading, world-changing technologies, innovations that have a real and positive impact on people’s lives.
We are a leader in university IP commercialisation, with recent successes including the NASDAQ listing of cell & gene therapy spinout companies Orchard Therapeutics and Autolus Therapeutics, whilst Computer Science spinout BloomsburyAI joined Facebook during 2018.
Importantly UCLB also pilots new models of IP commercialisation, with initiatives such as the Portico Ventures Programme and its social venture support activities, both seeking to widen the reach of UCLB across the UCL research base.
We are now seeking to recruit a Business Manager to join the Physical Science & Engineering team, who will take on the key role of initiating and maintaining effective IP commercialisation strategies for projects arising from departments within UCL’s BEAMS School.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate that they have the skills and commercial experience necessary to support early stage technology commercialisation projects.
The salary for the post will be in the range £41,000 to £52,000 p.a. depending on experience. In addition, the company operates a defined benefits contributory pension scheme and a performance-related pay programme.
